Just a few days to go before his birthday, Derrick Tucker had great success with his advanced driving test and was awarded a F1rst. He has been driving for more years than most of us (at least 65 years behind the wheel, I guess – Ed) and clearly showed us all that senior drivers can still drive with considerable skill and panache.
His examiner said “Derrick made safe, legal and systematic progress with excellent spoken thought demonstrated throughout. This was a very good demonstration drive today and fulfilled the required competencies to obtain an excellent F1RST pass. We discussed future driving adventures where Derrick has indicated that he is keen to build on all this hard work”
Derrick was delighted – ” It’s a nice birthday present for me and a testament to all the volunteers at GAM who have helped and encouraged me. After Christmas I will take stock and decide how to continue my training.”
