The two main books for Associates preparing for the Advanced Driving Test (ADT) are the Associates’ Logbook (provided directly to Associates by IAM RoadSmart) and the Highway Code.
Remember that the paper edition of the Highway Code now lags behind the electronic edition. Two advantages to having the Highway Code app on a mobile device are (i) it receives updates when they are published; and (ii) it has a good search facility. Whilst many online stores offer “The Official” Highway Code for sale, it is unclear which version you will receive. The Group recommends checking the version before you buy it.
For those wishing to study beyond the ADT syllabus, Roadcraft, the Police Driver’s Handbook, contains some material that will be of interest to advanced drivers.
