Congratulations to Nigel Corby who passed his advanced test in a car a couple of days ago. Nigel has been an advanced motorcyclist for many years and a member of Wey Valley advanced motorcyclists, and he is also now a full member of GAM, their sister car group.
Nigel’s examiner was very complimentary about many aspects of Nigel’s drive, probably because a motorcyclist will always be on the lookout for things some car drivers will miss, especially potholes and slippery patches, and making the most of the available view ahead.
In the debrief, his examiner said “Nigel demonstrated excellent theoretical knowledge of IPSGA and the “system”, and throughout the drive he displayed a consistently safe, systematic, and smooth driving style. He consistently placed the vehicle in the best road position to ensure maximum visibility for any approaching hazards.
His spoken thought during the drive displayed a sound understanding of how to apply and use the limit point, reinforcing the importance of being able to stop in the distance you can see to be clear on your side of the road.”
Well done Nigel, from all at GAM. Many congratulations on your latest driving achievement.
