Never too old to learn – well done Robert

Robert Gravett has been driving for a number of years (he has said we can reveal he is now 82) and he has just passed his advanced test with a great report from his Examiner.

Robert said afterwards “Naturally I am delighted to have passed the advanced test, to have achieved something at my age gives me a lot of satisfaction. Please add my name to your web site if it helps other OAPs to take the test. I know some of my friends are “good” drivers but at our age it is a step up to work for the IAM test. But no doubt there are many people of my age quite capable to achieve passing. I look forward to continue supporting GAM as a full member and thank them for all the help given to me over the last 6 months.”

Robert absorbed all the advice of GAM Observers and his Examiner, and put it all into practice. His examiner said “Robert displayed good knowledge around pre drive checks.  Starting off procedures were safe and well considered.  Steering was accurate and well controlled throughout the drive. Forward observations were consistently of a good standard. This allowed time to develop a drive plan to negotiate every hazard.

He delivered a safe and legally compliant advanced standard of drive. I am delighted that he has passed his Advanced Driver Test today. This is well deserved and many congratulations!”

Well done Robert from all at GAM – all your efforts, support, and good humour are appreciated.
