Nigel Thompson passed his advanced driving test yesterday with flying colours, awarded a F1rst for an excellent drive, and the first result of the New Year for GAM.
His examiner said “Nigel made safe, legal and systematic progress throughout with good spoken thought. Appropriate signals were given to inform other road users of his intentions, and practical application of both the Highway Code and the Advanced Driving Course were demonstrated. This was a competent demonstration drive today and fulfilled the required competencies to obtain an excellent F1RST.”
Nigel was very pleased, adding “I really am appreciative to the team at Guildford – approaching my 74th birthday, I hope this will encourage others to take the challenge and pass the test. I would like to give a big round of applause to all the observers that I was privileged to have sit next to me and take my driving to another level. I really do enjoy my driving since I started the journey with IAM and hopefully will continue to improve.”
