Many congratulations to Xavier Lutaaya-Malokweza who passed the IAM advanced driving test a couple of days ago. As one of the recent adopters of fully electric motoring for advanced driving, Xavier demonstrated the functions of his car with considerable skill.
His examiner commented that Xavier “controlled the progress of the car predominantly through acceleration sense and use of the accelerator pedal, with not a lot of use of the brake pedal” thereby using the flexibility of an EV transmission system to good effect.
He also said that “Xavier’s commentary was detailed and included some good observation and how to include the information into a driving plan. It also showed that he was looking well into the distance identifying potential hazards at a nice early stage.”
All in all a very creditable and competent performance. Well done Xavier, from all of us at GAM.
