Richard Petty achieved a top grade in his advanced driving test at the weekend. He impressed his examiner during a very wet and windy drive around the Surrey countryside, and the result was the first F1RST for GAM in 2025.
His examiner said “Richard demonstrated a safe and smooth drive with speed control within the posted limits and made safe and legal progress where conditions allowed, and he demonstrated some good 3 stage overtakes with a number of cyclists. Clear signals were given to assist other road users at junctions and roundabouts. Various questions on the Advanced Driving Course and the Highway Code were answered very well. This was a very good run and he obtained an excellent F1RST result.”
Richard said afterwards “Thank you very much for all your help in advance of my test, and warm thanks to all the GAM observers over recent months.”
