I have just completed an IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver Course (Guildford Branch). It took me about 8 months from starting to test, which I passed with a F1RST. The IAM offered outstanding training and support, and I learnt far more than I had initially expected. The quality of the Observers was superb, underpinned by their commitment to developing safer drivers. Their professional style, deep knowledge, and patient guidance made the learning process both enjoyable and highly effective. The course offers a well-thought-out set of lessons (runs) that each provide exposure to a different aspect of driving, but remain completely flexible to adjust to the route and conditions on the day. The test itself was also a really useful learning experience. I’ve gained invaluable skills and confidence on the road thanks to IAM’s expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend IAM to any driver looking to enhance their driving skills.
